Hey All... been working on a stealthy Von Dutch Triumph , really its a Triumph built around a Kenneth Howard (A.K.A. Von Dutch) painted gas tank. This thing is amazing. ... Its Painted just like a bmw, all black with the customary two pin stipes painted white on each side with the triumph logo where bmw should be. Although when von dutch painted bmws , as ive come to find out, the two pin lines around the sides.. , one larger and one smaller, He would also reverse the position of the two. Its very subtle and unless you know bmw , you would not notice he had done this switcharoo. Im about 90% done with the build and will be posting pictures soon. I put the tank on a 1970 frame with a 1978 t140 750 cc 5speed trans . The shifting has been converted to right side, as triumph eventually moved the shift to the left sometime after say...73 74 i think. At any rate, it looks kinda like a stock trumpet but i have a lot of suble touches everywhere that seperate it from factory specs.. for example a vintage belt driven ard magneto, custom seat, headlight ect... I wanted it to look kinda classic but bigger and darker as the tank itself gives off kinda an ominous vibe. keep ya posted on this overandout
